What to expect
This double-distilled single malt has a commanding aroma of barbecued banana and baked apples with hot custard. On the palate, notes of coconut and leather are followed by deeply caramelised brown sugar and huge oak influence bestowed by 27 years in American oak. This is balanced by gooseberry jam sweetness from being finished in French red wine casks. The finish is hot, long and full of leather spice. It is best enjoyed straight up with just a drop of water to release its aromas.
